Club Wyndham Airlie Beach Relaunches Tides Restaurant
For future consideration:
Tides, the onsite restaurant at Club Wyndham Airlie Beach Whitsundays, had relaunched under a new management with a fresh menu and an emphasis on locally sourced food at affordable prices. Club Wyndham Airlie Beach was acquired by Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific late last year and was quickly made available to the almost 60,000 owners who are part of the region's largest timeshare club, Club Wyndham South Pacific.
The resort's General Manager Malik Hayat said his team has been working on a new direction for Tides and is excited about unveiling it to club owners and locals at Thursday's relaunch.
The restaurant's menu features classics like nachos, Caesar salad and Greek salad alongside local seafood dishes: Whitsunday king prawns with rose marie sauce, and barramundi and chips. An Indian-style chicken curry, a specialty of the restaurant's Chef Guatam, also promises to be a rare treat. Sticky date pudding, vanilla bean panna cotta and homemade chocolate brownies are the options for dessert, while the restaurant also has an extensive wine and spirits list.
You can reach the restaurant at 4962 5100. Moving forward, the restaurant will cater for restaurant and poolside dining, and room service for guests.

Sagano Presents Sakura Set Lunch and Sakura Kaiseki
New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel's Japanese restaurant, Sagano, presents sakura-themed dining experiences this March and April, featuring a seasonal sakura-themed lunch and dinner created by Kyoto-born Japanese Chef Masahiko Noka, for Hong Kong diners to celebrate the splendid sakura blossom both day and night.
The highlight of the exquisite Sakura Set Lunch is the assorted seasonal appetisers, with a variety of petite Japanese treats including Poached Vegetables; Marinated Wild Vegetables with Nameko; Prawn with Sakura Leaf Tempura and Deep-fried Wild Vegetables; Stewed Sweet Potatoes in Lemon Sauce; and Black Pork Cutlet Fillet with Potato Salad. The set lunch also comes with assorted Sashimi including Tuna, Sea Bream, Yellowtail and Sweet Shrimp, as well as Grilled Silver Cod with Miso Paste, Mini Glutinous Rice Dumplings, Grilled Egg Rolls and assorted Chirashi Sushi on rice served with miso soup. Desserts are homemade Sakura Pudding and Sakura Ice Cream using aromatic sakura leaves from Japan.
Appreciating sakura is not only a daytime activity in Japan; at night the blossoms are illuminated for strollers to admire the display. Inspired by this tradition, Chef Noka has tailor-made a sakura-themed kaiseki menu for guests to celebrate the season during the dinner period. https://newworldmillenniumhotel.com/en/ https://newworldmillenniumhotel.com/en/dining/sagano/
