Reopened since 1 August 2021: The Lux Collective Introduces A New Concept and Identity for Tamassa Bel Ombre in Mauritius
The Lux Collective is pleased to introduce Tamassa Bel Ombre's brand-new look! Derived from the word tamasha which means party in Creole, Tamassa's three syllables evoke the pounding beat of the tam-tam drum, a rallying call to gather family and friends to experience Tamassa's fresh take on services and experiences that are designed to bring people closer and leave happier than when they arrived.
Tamassa Bel Ombre in Mauritius launches its new concept offering guests creative, vibrant and playful Together You'll Love experiences. From thoughtful, unexpected in-room treats for sharing; to children discovering the joy of friendships with back-to-basics playtime without the distraction of digital services.
Immerse in the neighbourhood spirit around the dining table where good food and drinks, and even better conservation take centre stage. With three dining establishments and three upbeat bars to choose from, banters will be kept flowing late into the night with live music and a specialty cocktail in hand.
Those looking to recharge after this extended stay-at-home period will have plenty of options at santosha spa. Wellness at Tamassa Bel Ombre is not just limited to restorative spa treatments; let go of sorrows or regrets in a healing ritual; engage in a spot of laughter therapy to get those endorphins flowing; or release stress with an aerial yoga session that will also improve flexibility, strength and stamina. The Cayman Islands Announces Plan for Reopening the World-Class Destination to International Leisure Tourism
Those who have been dreaming of white sandy beaches, turquoise water, and bespoke luxury in the Cayman Islands can soon make their dreams a reality: the Cayman Islands has announced plans to begin safely welcoming back tourists to Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman via an intentional phased reopening approach.
“Since March 2020, the Cayman Islands has been deliberate in all efforts to protect our people and visitors; from rapid and widespread testing, investing in the Caymanian workforce and implementing a phased strategy to safely reopen our shores to luxury-seeking visitors, the health and safety of our community was paramount in all decisions,” said Minister for Tourism and Transport, Hon. Kenneth Bryan. “My colleagues and I in government have worked tirelessly to develop this phased approach in preparation for the opening of our borders to international travellers – and we are pleased to announce the wait for paradise is almost over! Our guests will appreciate the impactful developments and enhancements we've made to the destination – surely proving that Cayman is worth the wait.”
Beginning in early March 2020, the Cayman Islands swiftly and effectively closed its borders to international travel and cruise traffic to protect travellers and residents from the global pandemic and emerged from the crisis as a beacon of hope, preserving the picturesque sunrise, friendly stingray kisses, world-class cuisine, and warm Caymankindness for years to come. The new five-phase approach to reopening will continue to safeguard the Caymanian population, while also carefully allowing international visitors to enjoy the sun, sand, sea and safety of Cayman once again.

Oakwood Embarks on Second Year of Global Community Outreach to Provide Meals for the Underprivileged through 'Give with Oakwood'
As the pioneer of serviced residences with over 50 years of hospitality expertise, Oakwood today announced the launch of Give with Oakwood, its commitment to effect positive social impact in every destination in which it serves. Following the heart-warming success from last year's inaugural campaign, Give with Oakwood continues as an annual initiative for the 2nd year to spread kindness and compassion to vulnerable members of society. Designed to cater to the specific needs of destinations that Oakwood operates in, this global outreach is a reflection of the group's commitment to caring for all guests, associates and communities. From 19 July to 30 September 2021, 58 properties across the United States and Asia Pacific will contribute rice as a staple food, towards a local community, charity organisation or food bank with every direct reservation received. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, the inaugural Give with Oakwood campaign was launched to alleviate hunger for impoverished families. The successful campaign last year saw a contribution of over 11,000 kg of rice for 67,059 beneficiaries in Asia and a distribution of over 2,700 meals in London as part of a partnership with The Felix Project. This year, in continuing with global efforts to give back to the community, Oakwood has partnered with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in the U.S. to support their food distribution programmes which serve over 900,000 people every month. Give with Oakwood will culminate in global community events and delivery of rice to beneficiaries at each Oakwood destination in conjunction with World Food Day 2021 in October 2021. Offering even more flexible booking options so people can plan a trip - and then plan it again, if they need to - the offers are available to book now across participating Park Regis and Leisure Inn hotels.
