MGallery Debuts in the Philippines
Accor, the largest international hotel operator in Southeast Asia, introduces Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery as its first MGallery property in the Philippines. Set along Roxas Boulevard with sweeping views across Manila Bay, the hotel is a portal to the city's golden era with a distinctive blend of modern Filipino-Spanish and Art Deco design reminiscent of Manila in the early 1940s.
The hotel's signature design honors its legacy as an iconic landmark and a vibrant social hub of the city's elite. Guests are invited to experience the country's rich Filipino-Spanish history and multicultural neighborhood surrounding the iconic hotel.
As guests step into the hotel, they will be welcomed by a fusion of classic design and contemporary aesthetics. In the lobby, the stylish Spanish Room reception lounge redefines a new way of welcoming guests. The eye-catching Las Paginas de la Historia art installation brings the unique stories of the Admiral Hotel to life. The colorful art ceiling, traditional Barandilla balconies and the reinterpreted Machuca floor tiles all represent the country's Filipino-Spanish culture.
The journey continues on the hotel's six uniquely themed floors, each showcasing the local culture, including festivals, heroes, folk dances, traditional games and native objects.

“Santa Fe continues to be one of America's most popular cities, and for good reason,” says Mayor Alan Webber. “Look at all of the amazing fiestas, cultural and artistic events that are part of our heritage–and that continue to draw our own residents and tourists to town. From the International Folk Art Market to Spanish Market, from the Santa Fe Opera to music on the Plaza, Santa Fe is the place to be!”
For the first time, Santa Fe resort Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection, ranked as the #1 hotel in the category of “15 Best Resorts in the Western United States.” In addition to the win for Bishop's Lodge, Ten Thousand Waves took the #2 spot in the “15 Best Destination Spas in the U.S.” category.
An internationally beloved travel destination, Santa Fe has finished on the “Top 15 Cities in the U.S.” list for more than ten consecutive years, making it one of the most awarded cities and earning the designation as a World's Best Awards Hall of Fame Honoree. This year the top three city scores were separated by a mere 1.55 points.
New in 2022, Travel + Leisure compiled a list of the “5 Best Hotels in Santa Fe,” highlighting Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi, Inn of the Five Graces, La Fonda on the Plaza, Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado, and Inn and Spa at Loretto.
The complete list of awards is now available online at travelandleisure.com/worlds-best/worlds-best-2022 and will appear in the magazine's August 2022 print issue.

Central Beach Bazaar at Sentosa to Open in September
In a media event held today, Mount Faber Leisure Group (MFLG) unveiled Central Beach Bazaar, a day-to-night carnival beach experience slated to open in September 2022. Poised to be the ultimate beachside destination that will invigorate the senses of visitors of all ages, Central Beach Bazaar will introduce three new attractions and a new multi-F&B concept, including the 80-metre-high Sentosa SkyJet, the tallest fountain in Southeast Asia.
Joining Sentosa SkyJet in the lineup of new experiences is a modern rendition of the iconic Sentosa Musical Fountain from the early 1980s and a casual, eclectic F&B concept International Food Street. The third new attraction, to be revealed at a later time, will offer simulation ride experiences and carnival games. Footsteps away from Sentosa's Beach Station, Central Beach Bazaar will enhance the existing entertainment, dining and retail experiences that MFLG currently operates, like the popular outdoor night show Wings of Time. The existing Good Old Days Food Court & Western Grill and FUN Shop @ Beach Plaza are also part of the Central Beach Bazaar.
Mr Buhdy Bok, Managing Director of MFLG, said, ”We took the opportunity of the pandemic tourism lull to reimagine, pivot and transform our offering that was essentially operating only in the evenings, into one that is appealing -- not only to tourists but also locals -- and yet is able to delight our customers from day to night. With the return of Sentosa Musical Fountain, a plethora of lifestyle offerings, and the new magnificent SkyJet Sentosa, Central Beach Bazaar is poised to be a bustling, one-stop entertainment destination located in the prime centre of the popular Siloso Beach.”

NUTBUSH' WORLD RECORD SMASHED AT QUEENSLAND'S OUTBACK MUSIC FESTIVAL
A new world record was set yesterday (July 7) in the heartland of outback Australia, as more than 4,000 revellers at the Birdsville Big Red Bash music festival annihilated the world record for the Largest Nutbush City Limits Dance. Punters peppered the sprawling red desert plains in remote Southwest Queensland, as 4,084 boot-scooting bush dancers kicked up the dust in wild and wacky costumes to the 1973 Tina Turner soul classic.
The new world record destroyed the previous mark of 2,878 dancers, which was set at the 2021 Birdsville Big Red Bash.
From tutus, dinosaurs and hippies to mullets, wigs and bilbies – a sea of colourful characters ignited the outback for an unforgettable bush doof like no other.
The spectacular dance took place below the Simpson Desert's legendary 40-metre-high Big Red sand dune – the largest of its kind in the world.
A world record with a good cause to boot, participation via registration in the event raised more than $60,000 for the festival's charity partner, the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Each punter paid a $15 registration fee to dance in the event.
With today's Nutbush effort, the festival pushed its collective RFDS fundraising total to more than $435,000 since 2016.
VNR vision of Birdsville Big Red Bash https://www.bigredbash.com.au/home Vision includes:
- Performance vision including Missy Higgins and Chocolate Starfish;
- RFDS Bashville Drags & Fashions in the Desert;
- Crowd colour and festival activity.
