Enter A Magical World of Culture Together
With a strong culture that connects each of the destinations to the resorts, there are many immersive experiences on offer at the resorts when choosing to travel as a family. On the 'island of the Gods', guests can learn the expressive movements of Balinese dance while dressed in traditional attire of kebaya and sarong, or to weave their own canang and place it at the shrine under the guidance of Four Seasons Bali at Sayan's Resort Priest. During summer, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay invites guests to learn the art of making kites with their resident Kite Master and battle it out in the skies above Jimbaran's 3-mile beach.
A perfect family outing, guests can follow local fisherman Pak Din's time-tested methods of fishing at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi's Rumah Ikan Fish House. At this traditional fish house on stilts, guests can shadow Pak Din as he carries on his family's legacy of catching lobsters using a structure of wooden splints and a dip in the sea.
Combining the love for travel and the necessities of everyday life, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai's 2- to 4-bedroom Private Retreats provide the perfect family escape. With a promise of living the local life in Mae Rim valley, families can truly immerse in the culture of Thailand's countryside with an early morning cycle to explore a beautiful local temple, learning to plant rice first-hand from the resort's farmers or discovering the art of Muay Thai.

Australia's first Hotel Indigo opened in Adelaide on 1 March 2021

IHG Hotels & Resorts' boutique lifestyle brand, Hotel Indigo, debuted in Australia with the opening of Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets on 1 March. The much-anticipated 145-room hotel with its intriguing design features, deep connections to the neighbourhood and exemplary culinary offerings is set to become a vibrant cultural hub for locals and visitors, a hallmark of other Hotel Indigo properties around the world.
Located next to the lively Adelaide Central Market, the hotel will champion local producers in its two restaurants - Market & Meander Eatery and Bar, as well as rooftop raw food bar, Merrymaker which will be the highest rooftop bar in Adelaide.
Housed on the site of a former textile factory, the property's “Raw and Refined” design ethos will celebrate the neighbourhood's commercial past with an exciting blend of heritage-listed and modern architecture as well as eye-catching contemporary design features.
The hotel's public spaces will feature striking brick archways mimicking those in Adelaide Central Market, colourful street art-inspired murals by acclaimed Australian collage artists including Tristan Kerr and an exposed terracotta brick feature wall etched with intriguing neighbourhood references such as “Six o'clock Swill” and “Mad March” – the name given to Festival month in the city.
Continuing that cultural tribute, exclusive Adelaide Festival-inspired poster art will adorn corridors and rooms, while a rotating selection of artworks will create an engaging, ever-changing backdrop in public spaces.

IHG and Pro-Invest Build Brisbane CBD Presence With Two Premium Hotel Conversions

The huge momentum behind the popular Hotel Indigo and voco brands continues, as IHG Hotels & Resorts and Pro-invest Group build on their partnership with the signing of two high-profile conversion hotels in the Brisbane CBD.
voco Brisbane City Centre and Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre will become the latest additions to the River City's hotel scene, as Mercure Brisbane and ibis Brisbane rebadge under IHG's world-class upscale brands following a repositioning and extensive refurbishment.
voco Brisbane City Centre, which will overlook the Brisbane River and some of the city's best cultural institutions, promises to bring the brand's vibrant, reliably fun vision to life. Each of the hotel's 194 guestrooms will enjoy a full refurbishment to elevate them to premium voco standards, while the hotel's bar will get a complete makeover that will deliver a new era of hospitality and help it show off its sweeping river views when it opens later in 2021.
Then, opening in 2022, the riverside location of Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre will play into the essence of the hotel's neighbourhood story, as the hidden gems that surround the property will be weaved into the guestrooms, restaurants, meeting facilities, design and service offering. Designer Joseph Pang will be charged with revitalising the interiors of the 212-room hotel while the hotel's restaurant, bar and café will be completely reimagined.
The opening of these fantastic hotels signals strong growth in the Brisbane market for both Pro-invest and IHG Hotels & Resorts, sitting alongside Pro-invest's Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central, which opened in 2017, and Hotel X, which IHG and Pointcorp opened in the Fortitude Valley precinct in February 2021.
